About Princeton Simulations

Princeton Simulations provides software that helps chemists determine the 3-D structures of molecules and incorporate a knowledge of these properties into their research.

Our emphasis is on helping chemists deal with the fact that the typical molecule has many 3-D structures, or conformations, that help determine its properties and reactions. We believe knowing the important conformations is not enough - you need to be able to incorporate information about them into you work. Thus, Advanced AnalysisTM tools are important part of our software.

Princeton Simulations realizes that chemists usually work with more than one molecule at a time. A major advantage of working with several molecules at a time is that both the experimental and the calculated properties of a molecule become more meaningful and useful when they are compared with those of similar molecules. Princeton Simulations has filed for a patent on the innovative methodology that makes it possible for Conformer to organize data from related molecules into a useful form.

About The Founder

The founder of Princeton Simulations, David H. Wertz, has extensive experience in computational chemistry, experimental chemistry, and software development. His Ph.D. work with Allinger and Scheraga were in computational chemistry.

Dr. Wertz worked 10 years at Allied-Signal as a bench chemist developing thermoset resins and at FMC's Agrochemical R&D group developing software which helped chemists be more productive. He left FMC to found Princeton Simulations.
